On this perfect-weather Thanksgiving Day, while I rest up before the marauding hordes arrive, I am reflecting on how very grateful I am for all the wonderful things that have happened at the Garden this year and the dedicated people who made them all possible. Thanks to community leaders and their supporters, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes, we now have a secure piece of public property to call our own, and a future we can plan. Volunteers gave of their time and talents to assist with various projects around the Garden, contributing to its beauty and bounty. Media offered generous praise (and priceless ad space) that kept our Garden in the forefront of public awareness. And most importantly, you gardeners kept up with the daily routines of maintaining the Garden, making it a place of constant joy and discovery for ourselves and visitors. Thank you all for everything you did this past year–you can be very proud of yourselves. I know I am!
