Last Saturday’s spring fundraiser, the Founders’ Breakfast in the Garden, was a big success by every measure. The weather was beautiful. Donors enjoyed bidding on a wide variety of donated items in the Silent Auction. There was everything from bags of soil and compost to restaurant gift cards. There were about 30 books in the new and used book sale.
Urban Harvest co-founder, Dr. Bob Randall, gave the opening remarks, followed by WCG co-founders Becky Edmondson and Ray Sher. Past President, Virginia Livingston, presented the WCG Master Plan and our vision for the future.
All in all, the event brought almost twice the projected dollars, with over $1000 from the Silent Auction and Book Sale.
It was wonderful to see gardeners and guests enjoying our beautiful garden!
