A seed packing party will be held Sunday, July 27th, beginning at 2 p.m. at Ray’s house. At the party, we will make up a set of seeds for each gardener who wants to purchase the set. In the past, the price of the set was $10, but due to the increased numbers of varieties and seeds per packet, the price for each gardener will be $12 or $13, depending on cost of materials and seeds.
We will need as many people as possible to help package the seeds into individual packets. We paid close attention to the number of seeds per variety that gardeners specified on the survey, and ordered accordingly.
We will package more than is needed for the community gardeners, and sell sets of seeds to other gardeners/ groups, as a fundraising for the garden.
Please mark your calendars and plan to stay until about 5:30, when we should be finished. You can then purchase your set(s). This is a good time to talk and get to know everyone in an environment outside of the garden.
