Early risers lined up before 8 AM for the fruit tree sale. The gate opened at 9 AM for the first group of shoppers.
Nearly 4000 fruit trees, bushes and vines will be for sale in the Rice University stadium parking lot Saturday, January 17 from 9AM to 1PM. Bring a wagon to transport your trees to your car. Some wagons are available from Urban Harvest; just leave your driver’s license as a deposit.
Parking is free for this sale. Enter the parking lot on Greenbriar. The line starts forming before 8 AM. The trees will likely sell out before 1 PM at this popular event.
