Apiary Pollinator Bed

Many thanks to the following 3 Volunteers for helping me continue prepping the site for the Apiary Pollinator bed along the North fence line.

We removed more broken glass, metal auto parts, weeds/grass, tree roots, broken concrete & misc junk from the site & screened the large pile of donated soil which a gardener had accepted.

The latter pile contained a large amt of rocks, tree roots, solid gumbo & broken plant pots. The rocks are being retained for a water feature in the finished bed. We did not receive the cubic yard of “Farm Dirt”  Garden soil nor Compost bags we expected, due to mechanical problems with the delivery truck. We also attached the trellis for the future transplanted Pink Coral Vine.

The amazing hard workers   L- R: Ryan & Kelly from KIPP Mosaic & WC Gardener,  Rum. (Kelly also has her own bee hive boxes outside of Houston!)
