New Neighbor for the Garden

The KIPP charter school system has built a campus at the corner of S. Main (HWY 90) and Hillcroft.  It is called KIPP-MOSAIC.  On our January 2021, community service day some KIPP staff members and their principal, Ryan Presley, worked with us to create a pollinator garden along the north fence.  Two other volunteers came to us through Volunteer Houston and joined in to make a total of 7.  Seven young strong enthusiastic people can sure make short work of removing the grass from an area to get down to the soil to prepare a garden.  This was an amazing accomplishment.  The most difficult work is done. The next step is adding some good topsoil and planting the garden with native shrubs and flowering plants.  Thank you, KIPP MOSAIC and Kenny and Aiden.

Volunteers from KIPP Mosaic school and other individual volunteers broke ground on a new pollinator garden.
