Instructors: Gary Edmondson and Ray Sher

Gary is a long time organic gardener. Early on at Urban Harvest, he was the Community Garden Director, and helped develop many community gardens throughout the Houston area. Following that, he was the Urban Harvest Education Director, where he developed and taught many organic gardening classes, as well as designed and implement an education program that included over 100 classes per year. Currently he is one of the trainers for Plant It Forward Farms farmers.

Ray is also a long time organic gardener, who regularly teaches gardening and permaculture classes. Ray established the Urban Harvest fruit tree sale, and was the coordinator of the sale for many years. Ray was one of the founders and designers of the Westbury Community Garden.

The WCG fall seed packets will be for sale for $12. The packet includes 37 vegetables and herbs selected for fall gardening in Houston. There will also be a seed swap from 8:30 – 8:45 after the class. Bring fall seeds to trade with others.
