ScarecrowsSaturday, November 15, we will celebrate a great year for Westbury Community Garden. Ownership of our 7-acre site has been transferred to the City of Houston and Westbury Community Garden’s future is secure!

Join WCG gardeners, city officials and partner organizations in celebrating the saving of WCG for land for years to come. It is rumored Mayor Annise Parker will be stopping by!

There will be garden tours, games for kids, face-painting, a scarecrow contest, educational booths and free bluebonnet seedlings for the first 40 guests. There will also be a delicious potluck, so bring a dish to share if you can.

Come out and have lunch, learn all about Westbury Community Garden and enjoy a cup of hot cocoa or pumpkin spice latte! It looks like it will be a chilly fall day but the gardens are looking beautiful and you are sure to enjoy yourself.
