The Tomato Tasting is coming! Save the date – June 4, 2016. Westbury Community Garden is hosting its 3rd Annual Tomato Tasting. Last year we had over 30 varieties of slicers, salad tomatoes and cherries and such beautiful colors, not to mention the tastes!
For a $5 donation, you get a scorecard for this blind taste test. You’ll score the numbered tomatoes on appearance, texture, meatiness, sweetness, tartness, acidity and traditional tomato flavor, then pick your overall favorite in the slicer, salad and cherry categories.
When the names are revealed, you’ll learn the details about each variety. Our growers will also be on hand to answer any questions.
