2025 promises to be a big year at Westbury Community Garden. Not only are we celebrating our 15th Anniversary with the Founders’ Breakfast fundraiser followed by a neighborhood festival, we are very close to finishing the engineering studies and permitting documents to implement a big piece of our Master Plan!
In 2025, we plan to break ground on a long-awaited new circle driveway, and new parking areas with pervious paving – part of our water conservation mission. To further enhance water conservation, fix some drainage issues, and re-establish insect and wildlife habitats, the plan includes a system of bioswales planted with native coastal prairie grasses and wild flowers.
The 2025 Sponsorship drive provides a way for our community supporters to contribute to the infrastructure improvements that will propel the community garden into a higher level of service to the Westbury community. After the driveway, parking, and drainage improvements, plans include a large deck and shade structure, composting restrooms and a concrete pad for soil and mulch deliveries.
Westbury Community Garden will show its appreciation to organizations who participate in the Sponsorship program with an invitation to the Founders’ Breakfast and recognition on a new sponsor sign for two years.
