National Night Out at the Garden

On Tuesday, October 7, Westbury Community Garden will once again host a National Night Out event.

National Night Out aims to build relationships between neighbors and law enforcement to strengthen community ties and promote crime prevention and public safety.  We are expecting to have representatives from Houston Police Department, Harris County Precinct 5, City Council District K, and other city and county departments to visit.

Like last year, the garden is extending the invitation to our neighbors at The Heights At Post Oak Apartments to come and join in the food and fun. In fact, the whole Westbury neighborhood is invited to stop by.

This year the celebration will feature grilled hotdogs with all the fixings, baked beans, S’Mores, and soft drinks and water. Garden members and neighbors are invited to bring a dish to share potluck style as well.

Mark your calendar and plan to visit the garden on October 7, 6:00 – 8:00 PM!
