For Earth Day, we are happy to announce tree planting class and tree give-away at the Westbury Community Garden outdoor learning pavilion. Our guest speaker is Gary O’Neil, forester at CenterPoint Energy. The class is entitled, “Right Tree / Right Place.” The class is free and open to the public. We hope to see a lot of our Westbury neighbors at this event. At the end of the class there will be drawings for free shade trees from the WCC / WCG Tree Farm.

Following the class we’ll have lunch for participants. Free will donations are accepted. The lunch is supported by Chik-Fil-A. Chicken sandwiches and potluck sides and desserts will be available for those who wish to have a bite to eat after the class.
