WCG is participating in a resiliency event at the One Church @ Bethel’s Family, 12660 Sandpiper, just a few blocks from Westbury Community Garden. We’ll be demonstrating how to build a raised garden at home. Visitors will learn about materials that may be used for raised beds and the costs of each, how to calculate soil and fertilizer needs, and most importantly when to plant seeds and plants in Houston for year round food production. There will be fall seeds and samples of MicroLife Fertilizer to give away. (Thanks to San Jacinto Environmental Supply, manufacturer of MicroLife, for the samples!)
